00 pm (some extended hours and/or weekends may be required) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Seeds, fertilizes and mows campus lawn areas, and maintains and trims campus trees and shrubs using appropriate ground maintenance equipment.
Cleans and maintains all campus roads, walkways and culverts.
Removes trash and debris from designated trash collection areas.
Assists in hauling furniture and equipment in various buildings and outdoor areas in preparation for special events of the college.
Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
EDUCATION High School diploma preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position typically requires work that involves non aerobic physical activity such as bending, stooping, repetitive hand use, and regular lifting of weights.
It also requires climbing of stairs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS One year of previous grounds maintenance preferred.
Ability to perform various grounds maintenance functions.
Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment.
